๐Ÿ’ก Power User Tips

1. Quick Format on Upload

When you paste or upload JSON, click the Format button immediately. This ensures consistent indentation and makes the tree view more readable.

2. Use Regex Search in JSONView

Toggle regex mode in the search bar to find complex patterns:

  • ^https?:// โ€” Find all URL values
  • \d{4}-\d{2}-\d{2} โ€” Find all date strings
  • null|undefined โ€” Find all null/empty values
  • @.*\.com โ€” Find all email-like values

3. Breadcrumb Navigation

When exploring deep structures in JSONView, click any breadcrumb segment to instantly jump to that level without scrolling.

4. Fullscreen for Complex Work

Every major tool supports fullscreen mode (click the โ›ถ icon). Use it when:

  • Working with large datasets in the comparator.
  • Building complex transforms with many mappings.
  • Exploring large flow diagrams or node graphs.

5. Copy Path Feature

In JSONView, hover over any node and click the copy-path icon to get the JSON path (e.g., users[0].settings.theme). This is invaluable for:

  • Writing filter conditions.
  • Referencing fields in the Transform Builder.
  • Debugging API responses.

6. Type Filters

In JSONView, use the type filter buttons to show only nodes of a specific type. This is especially useful for:

  • Finding all numeric values in a large config.
  • Locating all arrays in a deeply nested structure.
  • Identifying null values that may indicate missing data.
